Definitely going to be looking for updates on the QB competition and the Linebackers. Also want to hear about Young, Apache, and Turnage. Need those guys to be able to be impact players

Will be interesting to see the CB2 battle unfold. Can Turnage or Hadden lock in a spot for the foreseeable future or will George or Burrell be more of a factor? Both have battled injuries during their time but have produced at different times.

Yeah man. And with the addition of Hadden and Turnage we actually have some serious depth at corner. . We have quality experience with Taylor, George, and Burrell coming on, and then adding those two. We could surprise there.

Depth was deplored all over the defense during Spring and now I don’t see the issue. Always one injury away, but cornerbacks are promising enough that we can ease Charles and Rucker along at a slower pace. ILB is at least two deep and if Harrison/Joseph work more there, could be 3 deep. I’ve never joined in the lamenting for the DL. Depending on what they’re asking of the 3 DL, it’s a battle of most explosive Edge on the weak side.

DL is the ? for most. RG will use a lot of combos and get production at some point. Having Charles, Rucker and Marley in the secondary to ease along is a nice plus for Tim Banks and Willie Martinez. Rucker is turning heads in offseason workouts.

Agree. We lost Middleton and Emerson, but we replaced them with Terry and Tremblay. Imo that's an upgrade. We lost Henry and Crouch, but Crouch wasn't very good anyway. We added Mitchell who is better than Crouch. So at ILB we have Mitchell, Beasley, Banks, Garland, Joseph, Harrison, Willis. We have plenty of depth there just not proven experience.

I'm excited about Rucker after seeing how fast he is. I really think we're going to surprise on defense. Are we going to have a top ranked defense? I doubt it. But we don't need to. If we have an above average defense to go along with this offense we're going to win a lot of games.

Defense is enabled when their offense spots them points. Totally different dynamic.

All speculation, but currently my interpretation is they’ll have two big DT’s…likely Terry and Simmons and a smaller DL (Tremblay, Butler, Bumphus etc) and then have an edge like Baron or Young on the weakside. Or like you said tinker until the best combo works out.

Imo, if Baron figures out his role and stays dedicated, he could become an all conference contributor. No joke. He has the tools and the frame for it
